Bags that you have to let GO !

I was watching a sermon by T.D Jakes about a month ago on how in order for us to live out the calling that GOD has placed on our lives that we have to let go of some the baggage that's holding us back. From that sermon I picked up on 4 essential bags that I think that majority of people are holding on to but need to LET GO ...

1. SIN : Whether they be past sins or present sins, we all have sinned and fallen short but we can't allow ourselves to become slaves to those past mistakes. Ask forgiveness from your higher power, ask forgiveness of the people that you may have hurt and lastly forgive yourself.

2. GUILT: This one bag alone can strangle  the life out of you if you let it. We all at one point or another pick up the guilt bag,  the things that you wish you hadn't done or said but you did anyway. I carried my guilt with me and through life kept putting more into it until one day it almost took me out. That's when I decided to get rid of this bag, we are not perfect and you can't take back the past but you can make sure that you don't repeat the same mistakes in your present and future.

3. PRIDE: The deadly of all the SINS is pride because it's blinds you to the reality that we as humans are flawed. A person full of pride will never admit that they were incorrect they are arrogant and self righteous. If you want to be the best person you have to love yourself and your shortcomings. No one gets it right 100 percent of the time and you are not the exception.

4. DREAMS:  I know you wondering how can dreams be considered baggage but sometimes all we do is dream, are dreams get bigger not even in the scope of reality and we are never satisfied or appreciate what we have. I am not telling you not to dream because I am avid dreamer but make your dreams match your purpose and appreciate the journey to those dreams.

As we go through life, we will always pick up baggage that inevitable but don't allow yourself to become bag people where you are carrying around so much baggage that it weighs you down or worse. Release yourself, Life is not about the destination it's about the journey, so there is no need to pack all those bags.
