Defnition of a Ridah

So, look I had to address this subject matter because it is something that I hear so often but I don’t people understand the origin or true meaning of the word.   A Ridah as defined by the Urban Dictionary is an individual that is down for whatever, this person is fearless, a Ridah would go to great lengths to achieve their goals, missions, or objective and nothing will stand in their way.   A girl who is in it for the long run no matter what. Nothing in that definition states that a Ridah is blind, dumb, stupid or a pushover. Ladies or gentleman allowing your partner to use and abuse your trust and loyalty does not make you a ride it makes you a fool.   Also, some people confuse a Ridah with a passenger so let me break it down for you.   A Ridah will be there for pushing you to be your best A passenger will push you in order to get the best that they can get from you   A Ridah will defend you public and check yo...

GET BACK UP ...AGAIN

I came into the New Year with so much confusion and emotional turmoil but after reconnecting to my purpose and letting go of the past. It is a continuing process but the end peace in better than living in your own personal hell. I know that we all going through something but the worst thing that we can do is allow ourselves to succumb to the darkness and accept what is for what will be. These are a few steps that I have taken and hopefully. 1.        Respect your process a.      A couple of days ago I was talking to my Step mom and I was saying how I feel like I am stuck in my own mind and she said “What if there is where you need to be”. It took a while but it clicked that for me being in my own mind was a part of my process. I am not sure what your process might be but I am telling you to respect it and allow yourself to go through the process. 2.       Loose Control a.   ...

ACT YOUR WAGE ..

Saw this on Life hacks and had to share with you all : http://www.lifehack.org/293764/8-habits-that-keep-you-poor-even-with-reasonable-income?mid=20150806&ref=mail&uid=243483&feq=daily Here are the top 8 habits that can sneak into your hard-earned income and eat up your funds. Spending more as your income increases There’s no harm in raising your standard of life when you can. However, if you are a person who is constantly looking for ways to spend your money, you will probably find yourself in a difficult situation soon enough. If you continuously raise your expenditure along with any increase in your income (or even without it), it would be hard to have any real savings. Try to keep your expenditures at a constant level along with exploring ways to increase your income. That’s the route to success! Focusing on the present without caring about the future Usually, when people find it hard to tackle a problem, they choose to ignore it. That’s a sure...

How Did You Get Here ??

Oh, how I love my music but this post is not about love or relationships but it's about Self. Figuring out who you are and deciding what person you want to be?  My goal everyday is to become the best version of Destiny that I can possibly be. What is your daily Goal? Who are you and How did you get here? Some of us look at where we are in life, and we may complain, gripe about how we "thought" out lives would be different? Some of us are excited that we even made it this far? But the question I am asking you is , How did you get here?  The person that you are today, how did you become that person and what are you going to do make yourself better or do you feel who you are is the best version? I know that I got you all scratching your head, like what ??? So, let me break it down for you, in order for you to become the person you want to be, the best version of yourself, from where you are TODAY ... 1. Who are you today ? : Take a good look in the mirror and def...

Woman 2 Woman Weds.

Q1: My family feels like I am with the wrong guy, but I don't see what they see and I love him but I feel like I am trapped living two lives one with my family and one with my man, any suggestions? There comes a time in our lives when we have to move out the family that was given to us and create our own. Let me break it down for you, your family's position on your boyfriend is based on what you tell them and what they may observe but it is not the whole of who is. You are torn because you feel like you have to give up one for the other and that;s not true, you can have both. Your family loves you and that love will never change but it is time for you to grow up and take possession of your own life. Tell your family that you want to be with this guy and if he is bad for you then you have to pick up them pieces and if they really love you, they will be right there for you whether it's heartache or happily ever after. Q2: How do you balance family, career, friends, I mea...

Sister to Sister Sunday

Q: Recently me and one of my closest friends just stopped talking, she kind of betrayed me and I decided to not deal with her anymore but at the same time I still have some things on my chest, what should i do? A: Do you still have her contact information, I would reach out to her and have a real sit down and just air it out. But I do caution you this, it has to be two sided so you also have to give her a chance to clear her chest as well. I did it once with an old friend and at the end of the convo we decided that it wasn't worth trying to rebuild the trust but we could at least be civil. I mean we all have at least two friends that are fun to hang out with but we don't share secrets with.  Q: I just read your last post about 9 steps to a better life but my question to you is how important is it to have a support team and can you make it without one? A: I think that having a support team around you could truly make your journey smoother but like...

Allow Me to Reintroduce Myself ...

So, unlike the majority of my post this one is really self centered , I always try and use life experiences to help reach and empower others but I was asked by someone " Who Am I". I think that is a great question so allow me to introduce myself to those who do not know and reintroduce myself to those who do. My name is Destiny and I an native of Richmond, Va. Life has taken me through a lot , I have been insecure, depressed, over joyed, accomplished, miserable, in love, and broken hearted. Each life experience gave me a very valuable lesson which I try to share with the world in hopes that it may change someone life and keep them away from the darkness in life because there are no answers in the darkness just more pain. I do not do what I do for fame or notarity I do it because I feel that it needs to be done, we have some different outlets feeding us negativity or fluffed up optimism but I wanted to  let people know that life is ha...

Get Your Money Up

I realized that when looking at my post that I was discuss matters of the heart, trying to find yourself and your purpose. However, your financial wellness is also very important to me and I am always reading articles on how to get my finances in order because like some I was young and dumb but as I grow and mature I want my money to do the same thing. So, I saw this article a while back that I am using the steps to get myself in healthy financial relations ship and I want to share them with you, so here they go. 1. Define Your Goals The first step towards getting all your finances firing on all pistons again is to define your goals. This may seem simple, but chances are that the reason you’ve landed yourself in a sticky situation is because you’ve lost sight of the bigger picture. Where did all your money go? And where should it have been going? Were you plunking money down on a souped up sports car and a gargantuan flat screen TV when you really wanted to save up for a...
