Falling in Love with Me

You know there is a difference between, “Loving someone and being in love with someone”. Growing up, I believed that this concept was only applied to relationships of the romantic variety but I was sadly mistaking.   If, you follow me then you know that I have been through a lot but 2016 was a turning year and I lost a lot but I found someone who had been missing for awhile and that was me. So, I have spent the last year and a half falling in love with myself and my perfect flaws.   It is so crazy when I think back because I not it has me questioning every time I said “I love you” to someone how much truth was behind it. I mean really can you love someone, I mean truly love someone if you are not truly in love with yourself. Don’t get me wrong I love me, I think I am very special person but I was not in love with myself which basically led me to become a slave to the preconceived notions of who people think I should be instead of living my own truth. Get Out of Your Way …

Happy Sunday Team: I trust that everyone had a very productive week and if not I want to share a few steps that you need to overcomer to get out of your way and push towards your purpose and prosperity. 1)       Worry or Pray but you can’t do both : Stop worrying about things that you cannot change and focus on the things that you can. Give your worries to higher power and trust in the path that is laid out for you. 2)       Be Accountable : Stop blaming other people for where you are in life because at the end of the day our decisions put us where we are but we have a choice to learn and progress or complain and stay where we are. 3)       Be realistic : Stop expecting perfection from others when you are not perfect. You cannot expect what you don’t project. 4)       Remove CAN’T from your vocabulary : No further explanation is needed just do it 5)    ...

Letting Go...

Last night as I set in the wings of St. Paul’s Baptist Church with my sister flanking me. As I sat there and let the message that Dr. Watson was feeding my soul about how in order to move forwards you have to let go. He said you have to bury your past completely before you can truly enjoy your present for your future has not yet to come.   Listening to these words I felt something in my soul snap as 30 years of baggage of pain and confusion started to flood my mind and soul and something in me snapped. I realized before I can truly enjoy my breakthrough, I would have to first allow myself to break down completely and bury the past. Its only one way I know how to do that and that is to allow my hands to hit these keys. No one will know it to look at me or to even converse with me that I am silently suffering in the inside. Ever since I was child, I felt like I was a magnet for bad stuff to happen to me and somewhere I just learn to accept it but never show it to the...

Peace from Pieces

I saw this article on Oprah.com and I wanted to share it with you all... Though no one likes it, each of us will find ourselves broken at some point in our journey. When we find ourselves there, what do we do? I've been broken many times—through illness, through the loss of a job, through the derailment of a dream and most recently, through the death of my father. For all of this, I can offer a mysterious truth that life has given me: that we are stronger, gentler, more resilient and more beautiful than we imagine, and that the resource we call life is never far away. I know this because every time my heart has been shattered, I have felt certain that it could never be put back together. And every time, without exception, not only has my heart mended but it has become larger, stronger and more loving for the breaking. The mysterious and unfailing journey of how this happens is the ordinary art of staying awake. It involves the deep and continuous act of being pr...

ASK COACH D

1. I am in a relationship but we never really go out, all he does is come to my place. We never really go out anywhere, it's been a year and I haven;'t met any of his family or his friends, I don't know what to feel? I am going to assume that you have read some of my post and you know that I am very strait forward and this coming from a place of love. Sweetheart, you are not in a relationship , you are available to person who truly seems to not have any real interest in you besides what you are offering. You know what to feel but you do not want to be alone but  if you honestly ask yourself, which one is wormst be alone or lonely because you are already lonely. I do not know this guy and do not condone male bashing, but my advice would be to have a conversation and real conversation about how you feel and where you stand in his life and from there make a decision that is best for you and your happiness.  2. Coach D, how do you get yourself out of a rut? The advice t...
