Daddy Lesson

My father is hands down one of my favorite people because no matter what he has always been a constant form of support and comfort for me. I am a self-proclaimed Daddy’s Girl because of our bond is just that tight. Most importantly and why I am dedicating this post to him is because he has also been my teacher, my spiritual advisor and coach throughout my life.   So, I decided today to share just a few “fatherly” tidbits that he has shared with me over the years and that have truly impacted my life in a good way. 1.        Just do “YOUR” best a.        Ever since I was child and I would bring home my report card and although I had great grades if, I got something that I thought was not to my liking, he would always ask me “Do you do your best because as long as you do YOUR best then I am proud of you”. 2.        No Worries. TRUST GOD a.      ...

Scared of Lonely

If you are following me on any social media then you know that I am in the process of writing a book which is called “bare Soul” everything about this book is raw as it is a collection of journal entries and life trials but most importantly it’s a way to for me to heal and also truly discover myself. The one thing I have drawn from my current set of pages is that I am indeed scared of lonely. There is a difference between being lonely and being alone. Although, I need the definition in my mind and how I lived my life conflicted with that. You see ever since I can remember I have always been in the group, I have never really truly lived alone, my family is big and I have never worked a job that required solitude. But if you ask me or people close to me, they would say I never go out, I prefer being in the house by myself but yet my worse fear is being alone or is it?   When my mom died if created void inside of me and I was and at times still am afraid of losing s...

A Letter to my younger self ...

Hey little one I guess this has been a long time coming but I have come to realize that I am not able to move on in my life unless I and you come to peace. I truly wish there was something that I could do or say to erase what happened to you but I can’t but I think it is time for us to move past the hurt and the only way that I can do that is for you to forgive me.   I guess I need for you to let go and more importantly I need for you to forgive me so that we can walk into our purpose.   Those things that happened to you without your consent or your control were not your fault, stop blaming yourself. Mom loved you and although you may not remember her saying the words look at her actions, how she took care of you, cared for you, watched over you when you were in the hospital, worked two jobs just to make sure you and your siblings had the things you wanted.   You are like her, stubborn and have a hard time expressing your feelings in words but deep down you know ...

15 signs that you are doing better than you think

I saw this on lifehack and decidied to share it because nothing is as bad as you believe as long as you continue to believe in something better ... 1. You’ve lived and learned No one said life was easy and while the bumps on the road may hurt, the ride is definitely worth it.  Think back to your failures and defeats. You must know they were all for a reason and part of a grander plan.  Each difficulty has led you to where you are at today, each trial has molded you into the magnificent, resilient, person that you are. Continue to move forward in faith, hope and love, knowing that each experience has taught you what you need to become who you were born to be. 2. You have a comfy bed to sleep in I’ll never forget an interview done on NPR a while back. A young Haitian mother told her story. She had little ones that constantly wondered when they would be able to eat and go to school like all the other kids around them. What impacted m...

Man in the mirror

I honor of  the life  and legacy of  Micheal Jackson I have dedicated this post to him. I absolutely love this song but for a long time it took me a long time to truly understand what he was trying to say with this song. But once I got I got it and I ran with it, So, let me break it down to you . In this song , Micheal is saying that in order to change the world, make things better in life and the lives of others we first must love ourselves. WE CANNOT BECOME WHO WE ARE DESTINED TO BE IF WE ARE AFRAID TO FACE THE PERSON IN THE MIRROR,  I want to say that the process if easy and that after a few powerful confirmations then you got it but it is not. Some days you wake feeling like the Queen Sheba and other days you will wake up feeling like Sh*t. I am just being honest, I know for myself I constantly battling between the woman that I am and the woman that I want to become, But once I  confronted the person in the mirror it became easier to deal with so many othe...

Who Can Love You Better

I think one of the hardest things that I had to learn as I began to grow into the woman that I am becoming is to learn how to love myself. I know that for some to hear this its with that you do or your don’t but if you live long enough and endure life then you will understand that sometimes this world can bring you so low that you began to loathe the image looking back at you in the mirror. Not loving one often comes from not truly knowing oneself and the power that is inside you. Self-hatred has nothing to do with looks, body shape or insecurities and everything to do with the love. Not truly loving oneself, what love is and not knowing your higher power.   I really don’t know when I fell out of love with myself but I know how I fell back in love with Destiny and the steps I took to get there. 1.        Let Go of my pain and anxiety a.        This would be one the hardest things that I had to endure. I mean I h...
