Talk To Me

The one fundamental thing that all people need in order to survive is " communication", so it really bothers me when I see and listen to people who are in their mid twenties , late thirties and still have a hard time to communicating So, I have a few tips for better communication

 1. " Know what you want to say": The most important thing in any conversation is actually getting the opportunity to say exactly what it is that you want to say but before you even get ready to open your mouth , do a mental rehearsal of what you are going to express just to make sure that it makes sense to you before you share it verbally.

2. " Talk too not at " : I use to have a real problem with this in the middle of the conversation it sounds more like a monologue than a conversation because I wasn't allowing the other person enough to time to absorb the information and respond if needed. So , don't talk at a person give them time to respond, slow it down and ask for confirmation of comprehension.

3. " Listen just don't "Hear" : There is a difference between listening  and hearing. Hearing is just processing the sound that is coming out of someones mouth but hearing is actually taking that sound in and analyzing and comprehending it. Often times we are guilty of hearing someone talk to us yet we have not listened to a single word that was said.

4. " Ask for clarification" : if you are in the middle of an conversation and you do not fully understand what is being said or trying to be said then ASK, " What do you mean or Can you explain this to me again".

5. "Agree to Disagree" : Not every conversation is going to end with an alliance but just because you don't agree with a person doesn't mean you shouldn't communicate the issues you may have.

Communication is normally the making or breaking piece in every relationships, so make sure that you are effectively communicating with the people in your life
